Frontier 300 2023

Nov 1, 2022 | Uncategorised

Entries are now open for the 2023 Frontier 300 which is on the 23rd June. This will be the 2nd year of this fantastic event, and we are proud to be an event partner again, and what an event this is…….

Distance: 300Km

Terrain: 50:50 Gravel/Tarmac Split

Elevation: 4,200m Elevation Gain

Another Coast to Coast? Yes, ……… and No. While the Frontier 300 does stretch from the Irish Sea to the North Sea, the challenge is more about what lies between those shorelines. The route doesn’t link together iconic roads or tourist honeypots, but journeys through the heart of the old Border Marches, the Salsa Frontier 300 is a well balanced mix of good forest access tracks and minor roads. The forest sectors tend to be fairly fast with wide hard pack surfaces, though the route does climb to over 500m, with one hike a bike section, most of the climbing is relatively steady.

The finish at Druridge Bay Country Park will have camping, toilets and shower facilities (all included in entry for riders), along with various catering options. This will be available to supporters too (Supporter’s ticket Adult and Children) and there is plenty of parking.

Druridge Bay is a very short drive from Radcliffes Lodge and a great place for riders to relax and for family and friends to spend the day or the weekend. There are miles of sandy beaches, woodland walks, parklands to explore and a lake. We expect many riders to take the chance to relax into Sunday and enjoy their achievement.
